The Town of Canandaigua offers leak notifications to residents who have a digital water meter installed in their home. Some residents that do not have a digital water meter yet will not be able to access this service. We are currently working on updating all residents to digital water meters.
Your digital water meter offers free notifications for water consumption and possible leaks on your property using an app on your computer or mobile device called EyeOnWater.
EyeOnWater lets you see how much water you’re using and provides tools to help you use water more efficiently. The site acts like a dashboard that is organized in modules or sections that let you quickly see how much water you’re using, whether you have a potential leak, and more. To enroll in the free notification service, you will need your account number and your CID number which can be found on your water bill.
Please contact our office directly at (585) 394-3300 or via email at water@townofcanandaigua.org and we can provide that information and any assistance you may need to enroll!.

EOW offers several features to help you track your water consumption and usage where you can quickly see whether you are using more or less water than you used in the previously.
The graph on your EyeOnWater dashboard lets you see your water use for a period of time. Whenever you login to EyeOnWater, the Consumption Graph defaults to displaying your daily water use. Buttons located along the top of the Consumption Graph let you change the timeframe to minutes, hours, days, weeks, and months.
