Part Time Transfer Station Operator $20.00/hour,12 hours/week, Sat/Sunday 8a-12p and Wednesday 4p-8p.

Zoning Board of Appeals: The ZBA has a vacancy for an alternate board member position, which serves when a regular member is unable to attend a meeting. The ZBA hears and decides requests for variances from the requirements of the Zoning Chapter of the Canandaigua Town Code. The ZBA also hears appeals against any requirement, decision, or determination made by the Code Enforcement Officer or Zoning Inspector with regards to the Zoning Chapter of the Code. ZBA members serve 5-year terms and receive a stipend that is paid quarterly. Alternate members receive payment for the meetings they are required to attend. Members are required to complete 12 training hours in their first year and 4 hours annually thereafter. Agricultural Advisory Committee: The Ag Committee currently has two vacancies. The Ag Committee serves in an advisory role to the Planning Board and the Town Board. The Committee reviews planning projects that may impact ag land and/or farming operations in the Town and provides comments to the referring board. The Committee meets once monthly and serves without pay. Members serve a 5-year term. Ontario County Planning Board: The OCPB currently has a vacancy for their Town of Canandaigua Representative position. The OCPB reviews planning projects and proposals with potential impact to Ontario County. County Planning Board representatives serve 5-year terms and meetings are once monthly. Members are required to complete 8 training hours annually. Board of Assessment Review: The Board of Assessment Review currently has one vacancy. The Board Member's role is to hear grievances from property owners contesting their assessed propery value as determined by the Town Assessor. The Board of Assessment Review review required paperwork filed by the applicant, ask questions of the applicant if present, and make a decision as to whetehr or not the assessment will be changed, and if so, what the assessed value will be.
