Canandaigua Town Manager Opportunity

The Town of Canandaigua, New York (pop.11,500) is seeking a dynamic, innovative public administration professional to serve as the Town’s next Town Manager. The Town of Canandaigua is located in Ontario County and is home to 10 miles of Canandaigua Lake shoreline within the gorgeous Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. With top-rated schools, a focus on recreation (9 beautiful parks are located within the Town’s limits), and a robust investment plan, the Town is seeking highly qualified candidates interested in working with the Board to help usher in the Town’s next phase of its thriving future.

The position serves as the Town’s Chief Administrative Officer and oversees day-to-day operations. As such, the Town Manager oversees the implementation and administration of all laws, town codes, resolutions, and policies. The position works for and reports to a 5-member Town Board and a Town Supervisor to facilitate the managerial, financial, personnel and operational needs of town government.
